General Cleaning in Shelter
Assisting potential adopters in choosing the perfect pet

Assist in other areas of shelter as needed

Qualifications For The Job
Must be reliable and on time to work. (7AM)
Must love cats because there is a lot of them!
Must be organized and able to prioritize your time.
Must be willing to clean properly as that is the majority of the work and the cat’s health and happiness depend on a clean environment.
Must be proactive and able to work independently.
Must be a team player and able to help out where needed in the shelter.

Physical Requirements
This position is entirely physical. You must be able to stand, bend, kneel and lift 50-pound bags of litter and cat food.

Must Love Dogs!

Our kennel area is expanding!

We are hiring a part-time kennel technician to work with dogs.

• This position involves feeding, caring for and interacting positively with our adoptable dogs.
• Maintaining extremely high levels of cleanliness in our dog kennel area and other areas of the building.
• Interacting with potential adopters and providing information regarding the adoption of shelter animals.
• Working with volunteers, our trainer and other staff members.
• Assisting the veterinary staff in the intake processing of animals.
• Dispensing medication as needed.
• Keeping the yards and play areas clean and sanitary.

Successful applicants must be comfortable working alone and in a team environment.

Applicants MUST have experience working with LARGE BREED dogs including Pit Bulls, and be able to work evenings, weekends and some holidays.

They must be able to lift over 50 lbs and be on their feet most of the day.

Please do not apply if you cannot work in the evening, on weekends, some holidays and are not experienced and comfortable with pit bulls and other large breed dogs.
