About Us

About Our Shelter

Edgewater Animal Shelter serves the City of Edgewater, FL. We are 501(c)(3) and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

We take in unwanted and stray pets from the City of Edgewater and try and find loving homes for those that are able to be adopted.

The shelter also provides wellness services to the public. This includes low-cost spay and neuter, vaccinations, microchips, and flea and heartworm medications with a vet exam or prescription from your veterinarian.

The shelter has an in-house groomer providing a full array of grooming services available by appointment.

We participate in the Edgewater, New Smyrna Beach and Oak Hill TNR programs, providing spay and neutering services to feral cats.

What We Do

Rescuing Animals

Edgewater Animal Shelter takes in unwanted pets and strays from the City of Edgewater. They are seen and treated by our veterinarian and placed up for adoption.

Pet Licensing

The City of Edgewater requires that all pets be licensed by the city. Licenses can be purchased at the shelter for $15. A valid rabies certificate is required to license your pet.

Spay & Neuter

Low-cost spay and neuter services are available by appointment. Contact us at 386-402-7476 or click here for more information.

The Edgewater Animal Shelter staff and volunteers participate in many local events and community programs.

$30 Saves a Life

We have many senior pets living in our shelter. The adoption rate for senior pets is very low. $30 a month will sponsor a senior pet and keep them comfortable in our shelter. One time donations are also appreciated.

Adopt & Foster

We have adoptable dogs and cats that are ready to go home with you! Check out our adoptable pets online or come by and visit us at 605 Mango Tree Drive in Edgewater and meet your new best friend.
